GVI is pleased to invite startups to Hangzhou Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition for Overseas Talents is back for its 2022 edition. With the aim of building up a platform of various innovation and entrepreneurship resources, including policies, funding, industries, markets and more. The goal is to attract high-level overseas talents to engage and enhance internationalized projects within Hangzhou.
With cash prizes totaling up to RMB￥370,000. The entrepreneurship competition has set a target of improving the overall innovation sphere, as well as stimulating and guiding innovation vitality through the best investments and help Hangzhou take the lead in China’s digital economy.
To take part in this competition, interested participants should at least meet the following criteria:
Must own at least 60% of the shares of the company or project.
Must be a Master's or PhD holder.
Must be a foreign company or individual outside of Mainland China. Participants from Taiwan, Macao and Hong Kong are accepted.
Have a project that holds promising innovation in any of the fields listed in this competition.
Have an interest or willingness to commercialize and land projects in China.
Have not previously participated in any of the past editions of the Hangzhou Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition for Overseas Talents.
Registrations for this edition of the competition will end on 30th June 2022, with screening sessions taking place on July – August 2022. The Preliminary sessions will be held on August – September 2022, with the Semi-Finals in October 2022 and the Finals to take place in November 2022.
